Jay Sands
Jay Sands has been collecting casino memorabilia since the mid 1980’s and joined the CCA in 1999, becoming a life member in 2002. He has served four terms as Vice President of the CCA, starting in 2007, and is currently the Club’s Membership Officer. He also served as the Club’s Claims Director from 2017 to 2022 and as the Bruce Landau Memorial Auction Co-Chairman from 2002 to 2007 and from 2016 to present. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Gaming History from 2021 to present.
Jay has also been one of the publishers of The Chip Rack since 2009, and is a 7-time winner of the Janice O’Neal Memorial Book Of The Year. Additionally, he, along with David Spragg, is promoter of the annual Casinorama casino memorabilia show. In 2019 he won the coveted Greg Susong Memorial Award. In 2021 he was elected to the CCA Hall of Fame.
